Muktamar Khilafah 2013 West Kalimantan

The Big Change to Khilafah

I want to share my experience when I was in Muktamar Khilafah 2013. It was hold in Polytechnic Auditorium Pontianak from 08.00-12.00 a.m. There were many people not just from Pontianak only, but also from other cities in West Kalimantan, such as from Sambas, Singkawang, and Ketapang. They are the delegations of their own cities. People here shouted the sound of Allahu Akbar. Subhanallah! The first thing that I was interested was that the Muktamar was in two languages. That’s Great! I like it!

Then, I want to share the activities in this Muktamar, they are:

I was happy that I could be here because the Muktamar opens my mind. The orators talked that Islam is not one anymore because of the liberalism, secularism, capitalism, democracies, and nationalism. In this post, I want to talk about the democracies and nationalism because many people in Indonesia proud of these things.

First, kufurnya demokrasi because democracies is in based on the people. From people, to the people and by the people is the motto of democracies. The democracies are the law that does not come from Allah SWT, but the people make it. It is called by kufur because the main thing is kedaulatan rakyat (assiyadah lil sya’bi). Everything is the name of people. But, it is very contradictive with Islam that the Allah SWT is the central of everything.

Second, nationalism, based on Hans Kohn, nationalism is the people who believe that the highest thing is what people do for nation. The effect of this system is one country of Khilafah becomes many countries that consist of about 70 countries Muslim countries. Because of this system, many Muslim people have less of carefulness about their brothers and sisters in other Muslim countries. The apathies become the trending topic. For example, many Bangladesh people do not care about Rohingya people, however their countries is very close each other.

Then, I want to include the dangers of liberalism (the sister of democracies) which can influence people in Indonesia. Therefore, many people do not realize it.
